Let's talk about supplements, shall we? Are they just money spinners for the manufacturers? Or are they excellent for our bodies? Now we will not be talking only about pills, but anything that is said to have nutritional benefits that you don't have to take the time to prepare, such as drinks, bars, and even oils.


The reason why supplements are so popular is the time it cuts out for us, in the sense that we do not have to do anything to get the recommended dose of vitamins or supplements for the day. We pop the pill, take the drink, shake, and voila, we have the daily recommended amount of the vitamins we need. In short, it saves us time.


We get the vitamins, fatty acids, and all the other good stuff we need from the foods we eat; when we eat right, all we get from the meals are good enough for us to get by, according to Timothy J. Smith, MD.

So as the name suggests, they are supplemental. They assist or add to what you already have to produce a far greater reward. When you have the proper diet and add the supplements, you get more out of the great choice of eating nutritious food.
