To introduce any new habit and really have it stick, it is imperative that it is integrated into your routine and I am interested in doing this with as much ease as possible. For this blog, I thought I would include some things that can be easily incorporated into your routine that have a big payoff.

1. Try preparing meals in advance. This is especially helpful if you are living life on the go! If you plan a couple meals ahead of time, it is easy to shop sales and save time by prepping multiple at once. For example: If you are making lasagna, why not make two? It takes the same amount of time and you can pop one in the freezer and be good to go on a night you don’t feel like cooking. This is also a helpful way to ensure you are making healthier food choices. If you are in a hurry or have forgotten to do the shopping, you have a healthy option already prepared instead of opting for fast food or a faster, less healthy option.

2. Infusing water is a beautiful way to help your family drink more water. Not only is it visually appealing, but you can have a lot of fun trying new flavor combinations and gain nutritive benefits as well. Cut up fresh fruits and herbs in your water and let it soak up the delicious flavors. Try watermelon mint, cucumber lime, or for an added bonus you can even add in Forever Living Aloe gel. Get creative!

3. Struggling to find the silver lining? Make a list each night of 5 things you are thankful for, big or small, or include your spouse or family in on the conversation. Try to think of new things each time. Practice gratitude. It is pretty hard to be thankful and complaining at the same time.

4. Invest in yourself. This can come in many different forms. Join a pottery class, get a gym membership, save up for a vacation, get a Zyto scan, take a college course, get a massage. Determine to view it as an investment in your well-being and enjoy the fruits of it. You are a very good investment!

5. Most people stretch when they wake in the morning but stretching before bed has many benefits. Not only will it help you unwind after your day, but it relaxes your muscles to help you rest comfortably for the night.
